Ava’s mom

Ava’s story

Ava was referred to see me for a movement disorder, tremors, imbalance and sudden onset learning disabilities, following a hospitalization for asthma

J.R.’s Story

This patient was referred to my office primarily for management of a severe traumatic brain injury which occurred during a skiing accident, which following five weeks in a coma left her unable to walk and thus wheelchair bound… until now. You can only imagine our heartfelt excitement when she showed up using only a cane for assistance. When I asked her about her wheelchair, she humbly stated that she decided to leave it home from now on. She’s the hardest working patient I have ever worked with. I am looking forward to seeing her perform competitively at the highest level again.

This patient is referred by her doctor to my office as she cannot walk without assistance and she suddenly collapses into truncal flexion whenever she stands up. She is able to walk normally and without assistance after her first visit.

A 42 year old female suffering with dystonia. She is told by experts in movement disorders that her dystonic tremor is psychiatric. In a subsequent video taken four months later, she is tremor free after 16 functional neurological rehabilitation treatments with Dr. Scopelliti, no drugs or botox injections, no surgery.

A 27 year old female suffering with Myoclonus-dystonia. She is told by alleged experts in movement disorders that her myoclonic tremor is psychiatric. In a subsequent video taken two weeks later, she is better that 80% improved and tremor free after five functional neurological rehabilitation treatments with Dr. Scopelliti, no drugs or botox injections, no surgery.

Video testimony following treatment. What is most interesting about this case is that when Doug initially contacted my office for help, I didn’t think that I could help him and opted not to see him, suggesting PT being a better choice for him. He insisted on seeing me however. After I had learned that he had already done PT and was discharged as being as good as he would get, I accepted him as a patient. He is now 100%!

Dr. Scopelliti is a Carrick trained Functional Neurologist in Monmouth County NJ.
